English semi-porcelain biscuit barrel was manufactured by the renowned William Adams & Co. at their historic potteries in Tunstall, Staffordshire. A beautiful example of traditional Victorian and Edwardian style, the jar features a soft peach and cream gradient "blush ivory" background designed to mimic high-end period wares. It is intricately decorated with delicate, hand-painted floral sprays and hanging flower swags across the front and upper rim. The base bears the authentic, deep-impressed "ADAMS / TUNSTALL" hallmark stamp, dating this piece to roughly the late 19th or early 20th century.
