This is an antique Sampson Bridgwood & Son / Bridgwood England handled serving bowl or oval vegetable dish, made in Staffordshire, England. The anchor mark fits Bridgwood’s Anchor Pottery identity; The Potteries notes Sampson Bridgwood took over Anchor Pottery in Longton in 1853, and Replacements lists Bridgwood & Son as a recognized English china maker with many patterns. The piece is semi-porcelain / earthenware, not fine bone china. The form is a shallow oval serving bowl with side handles, floral transfer decoration, green patterned border, and gold trim. The underside shows heavy crazing and some age staining, which is common on older English semi-porcelain. Based on marking it is late 1800s to early 1900s, roughly 1880–1910 production.
