This is a vintage, hand-painted Susie Groover porcelain Christmas ornament from her iconic "Northern Lights" collection. Artist & Origin: Created by artist Susie Groover. She produced highly collectible, limited-run seasonal lines heavily distributed and collected across the United States, including thematic collections inspired by Alaska. Design Technique: This specific finial/tear-drop shape features her signature drip-glaze and swirl style. It uses rich blues, teals, and whites to mimic the natural movement of the Alaskan night sky. Material & Production: These pieces are made of high-fired pottery porcelain rather than thin glass. Because they are entirely hand-decorated, no two ornaments are completely identical. Markings: Authentic pieces are usually stamped with her name on the metal cap attachment, signed by hand, or stamped on the bottom base.
