A charming mid-20th century hand-carved wooden folk art sculpture featuring two figures in long robes, likely monks or scholars, standing on a rectangular base and appearing to read from handheld books or tablets. The piece exhibits a primitive whittled style with simple facial features and textured vertical carving marks on the robes. Stands 2 inches tall. Is 2 inches long and 1 inch wide.
