MA-based collector with French roots and a love of early 20th-century décor. Inspired by New England antiques and a life among flowers and gathered objects, I share glassware, ceramics, and metal pieces with timeless character.
This elegant antique porcelain footed bowl by Noritake Nippon features delicate hand-applied 18k gold gilt floral detailing with graceful Art Nouveau influence throughout the border design. The softly scalloped gold work, fine beaded accents, and raised ball feet give the piece a refined early 20th century presence that feels both delicate and architectural.
The Manufacturer: The "M" stands for the Morimura Brothers trading company. This prominent import/export firm later evolved into the world-renowned Noritake china company.
Production Date Range: This specific green wreath symbol was used on hand-painted porcelain wares specifically between 1911 and 1921.
